Before the Alert: The Attack Surface as the Key to Cyber Resilience

Cyberattacks rarely begin with a big bang. Attackers often move unnoticed through corporate environments for weeks before striking.

Yet what if these risks were visible beforehand?

Ernesto Hartmann, Chief Cyber Defence Officer of InfoGuard AG, takes you behind the scenes of real-world cyberattacks from the DACH region.

With several hundred deployments in recent years, InfoGuard’s CSIRT is among the most experienced teams in Europe. Through exclusive insights, you will learn the patterns behind modern attacks, why they go undetected for too long, and why effective cyber resilience begins before the first alert. Together, we bridge the gap from Incident Response and Managed Detection & Response (MDR) to Managed Risk Exposure (MRE). For detecting and containing attacks early is one thing – making risks, attack surfaces, and their interconnections visible, properly prioritising them, and reducing them before security incidents arise is another.

A presentation offering exclusive practical insights and concrete takeaways for organisations seeking to sustainably reduce their attack surface and strengthen their cyber resilience.
